What is tangram?
Tangram is a type of puzzle that is made up of 7 different shapes that can be combined to create many different designs.
Tangram consists of two big triangles, one medium triangle, two small triangles, one square and one parallelogram..

How does it work?
Tangram is something that is very flexible to work with and many shapes and designs can be created.
There are two ways of working with Tangram, one is where you can give your child a tangram picture & the child has to try to create the same picture by placing the provided shapes accordingly.
The other one is where the child uses his/her imagination to create any picture or any abstract design using the given shapes.

How does it benefit your child?
Tangram helps develop spatial awareness i.e. it allows your child to develop an awareness on how an object can fit into the given space.
Tangram can help enhance problem solving skills, geometry skills, creativity, imagination and understanding.
