Talk about the brain.
Talk about the brain.
Tell your child that the brain is located in the head, it is like the ’boss’, it controls our body. Show pictures of the brain and the parts of the brain. Explain that the brain stem/medulla oblongata controls our breathing and other vital sensations, the spinal cord connects parts of the body to the brain, the cerebellum controls movements, coordination and balance, the cerebrum the largest part of our brain controls our thoughts, our emotions, our speech, our reasoning and our memory.

Take a print out of the parts of the brain and cut along the dotted lines.
